Christmas tickets for Temple Newsam Estate's illuminated trail go on sale

The summer may have only just begun, but tickets for Temple Newsam Estate this Christmas are already on sale.

For 2021, there will be an after-dark illuminated trail in the grounds and gardens.

Guests will be able to discover sparkling tunnels of light, walk under giant baubles and beneath the trees illuminated in Christmas colours.

At the end of their festive fun, they will be able to have a spiced winter warmer or luxury hot chocolate.

Event organisers at Temple Newsam Estate said: "Yeah we know it’s warm outside and summer is coming but let’s chat Christmas (hear us out).

"This year our grounds and gardens will be transformed into a twinkly display of festive fun in an after-dark illuminated trail.

"It’s brand new for 2021 and it's pretty special.

"Stick some cinnamon in your sangria and let's celebrate".

The illuminated trail runs from November 26 to January 2, 2022.

There will not be a Father Christmas to meet children individually, however, the website states that people should "be sure to look out for him, as he will be on the trail this Christmas".

Dogs are allowed but must be kept under full control on a short lead

Tickets are on sale now on See Tickets.Adult tickets, including car parking space, are £22 per person.

Tickets for children aged three to 16 are £12, and under threes go free.

A family ticket is available for £56, which admits two adults and two children.
