B&M announces new Leeds store in Colton Retail Park creating 70 jobs

The discount retailer has announced it will open its eleventh branch in the city in Colton Retail Park.

The former Next, Boots and DW Sports premises will be refurbished to create a large B&M store, which will open on March 13.

As an essential retailer, the store can open regardless of current lockdown measures in the city.

B&M will be looking to fill 70 positions at the new store.

It will sell a wide variety of branded groceries including food, drink, baby food and pet food.

There will also be a large selection of health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games and gifts.

A spokesperson from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people during these difficult times and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in March.”
