The investment includes a significant kitchen upgrade and broader menu - alongside traditional fish and chip meals.

The takeaway will also reopen after a refurbishment, it has been announced.

A new bar area has also be incorporated into the site.

Food will be cooked in vegetable oil rather than beef dripping following requests from the local community.

Sarah Stuttle, Managing Director at Catch, said: “We’re all so excited to be expanding the Catch family and opening our 4th restaurant.

"It’s a great achievement for us to have opened in Headingley and now Street Lane in what has been a very difficult year for the industry.

"The Fisherman’s Lodge has been a part of the local community for a long time, and we’re excited to welcome these loyal customers to Catch, as well as some new faces, when

we reopen.”

In addition to Street Lane, the Catch group includes the already established restaurants in Holmfirth and West Vale as well as recently opened Catch Headingley.

The first restaurant opened in 2015 in West Vale, and both this site and the Holmfirth restaurant recently won a Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice award.
