This company is helping customers see inside Leeds venues during lockdown

But one Otley company is virtually opening up doors to allow customers to see inside closed venues with 3D tours.

Apollo3D have designed immersive tours which give people the freedom to take a detailed look inside a variety of Leeds spaces from their computers.

Kirkstall Abbey, Hyde Park Picture House, West Park Leeds RUFC, Clip ‘n Climb in Holbeck and the Aspire events space in Leeds city centre are among the places that have benefited from an Apollo 3D virtual tour.

Online visitors can either be taken on a virtual walk-through or explore venues independently by clicking around them.

The 'dollhouse' view also helps bring a 2D floor plan to life, enabling visitors to spin a location as if holding it in their hand - cleverly letting them see how the location fits together.

Staff at Apollo3D, which launched in October 2017, are following Government guidelines and work from home where possible, but the nature of their work means they still need to travel to venues for scanning.

Mark Shepherd, founder and managing director at Apollo 3D, said: “This is an ideal opportunity for us to get on site and capture images safely and quickly.

"Once created, our cost effective showcase tours will help to let customers know that doors are not fully closed and will reopen.

“Customers find the tours are highly effective marketing tools, allowing them to stand out from their competitors.
