The Wardrobe on St Peter’s Square reopened on Thursday after being closed since the start of the month so that a new bar and backbar, refurbished tables and chairs, new light fittings and a completely new cellar system could be introduced.
The venue has also relaunched its kitchen with the team at Grilling Me Softly, with a menu consisting of sandwiches, burgers and an exciting small plates menu that champions all of the ingredients and flavours on offer at Kirkgate Market, just a five minute walk away.
The refurb comes as the venue marks its 25th anniversary this year. There have also been major shows from the likes of The Libertines earlier in the year and shows from Corrine Bailey Rae, The Vaccines and Gossip to come.
