Love is ... Leeds Valentine's Day DJ sets reloading great '80s anthems

Leeds daytime clubbers can celebrate St Valentine's Day with anthemic 1980s sounds revisited at Revolution on Saturday.
The 1980s were among greatest decades for music and, with full decade to choose from, world renowned DJs are set to have guests dancing non-stop from 4 to 10pm.
Ministry of Sound DJ and DMC Remixer DJ Dakeyne, who had crowds buzzing at 1992 Revisited, is sure so raise roof with his set, having worked with many top names back in the day. There isn't a track from this era he hasn't played ... and likely still does on his live streams.
His celebrated remix of Exposé's Tell Me Why, recorded at the end of the '80s, is one to watch out for, having become popular piano anthem worldwide. Another global hit was Tinman - 18 Strings, based on that Nirvana riff, also enjoying success with Zone Ranger - 2 B Reel, played at The Gallery in Leeds back in the day.
Also appearing are two Leeds legends, having recently worked together at '80s local Love Affair events, providing perfect pairing to take clubbers back in time, filling Valentine's Day slot based at Distrikt for last decade.
ELA founder Anton Raphael is as good as any DJ on the circuit, sampling tunes recorded almost 50 years ago as though they were made to be mixed today. Integral part of '80s Vice City nights, having DJed locally since the '90s at SpeedQueen in Leeds Warehouse, he's been on board with Revisited since the start, playing first 1990 event.
His Distrikt set at 1984 Revisited with Greg Wilson was hailed as outstanding, following previously 1983 Revisited. The '80s really are his home turf and, with his love for Visage as well as Adam and The Ants, expect him to dip back early into seminal decade's top tunes.
James Patta first experienced city nightlife at the age of 14 when he saw Bridewell Taxis at Leeds Warehouse before attending Ricky's and buying Sasha tapes from high street clothes shops. Aged 17, he started at Hi-Flyers and became Corn Exchange bar Friday resident with Steve Luigi from 1992 to '95. Recently, you could catch him at House Of Phunk & Hush.
