Where is The Syndicate filmed? All the Leeds and Yorkshire locations used in Kay Mellor's BBC drama

Kay Mellor’s hit lottery drama is back for a fourth series with a plot line that whisks viewers from the rural border towns of the Yorkshire Dales to the glamorous high-rolling world of Monaco

Each series of The Syndicate focuses on a different group of lottery-ticket winners, but Yorkshire – Mellor’s home base – is always central to the cast of core characters. Mellor said: "There were parts of Yorkshire I wanted to touch on, like Otley and Ilkley and Burley in Wharfedale. The area is so beautiful but not many people shoot there. I’ve shot a lot in Leeds, I know Sally’s [Wainwright] shot a lot in Huddersfield and Halifax. I wanted to show off somewhere else. That’s why I picked The Chevin and Ilkley Moor and all round there. Burley in Wharfedale too because I love it. I love that I live a stone’s throw away from it, that it’s so green and lush and within these beautiful hills and valleys you can have these little market towns with a real sense of community."
