West Yorkshire Fashion Week documentary to debut at Showcase Cinema de Lux Leeds
A documentary made to chronicle the launch of West Yorkshire Fashion Week will debut at a Showcase Cinema near Leeds later this month.
West Yorkshire Fashion Week was launched last year with the mission to put the region on the fashion map and inspire students and everyone who cares about fashion.
A documentary film made of last October's debut catwalk show will be shown at the Showcase Cinema de Lux Leeds on Sunday, January 25, at 11am.
This is a collaboration between WYFW founder, fashion designer Hollie Haughin, and film director Shantelle Ellyse, capturing the behind-the-scenes journey of the event.

“The film is very organic and honest, allowing us to be completely true with our audience,” says Hollie, whose collection will feature in the film. “It also includes me opening up about my personal struggles in the fashion industry and the inspiration behind creating West Yorkshire Fashion Week.”
As a designer of womenswear and menswear, Hollie explores avant garde shapes and tailoring, creating clothes that tell stories and shed light on life and its challenges.
She has previously showed her work at the Royal Armouries in Leeds for Yorkshire Fashion Week, and at York Fashion Week. Her Siphon collection was designed to highlight and raise awareness of type 1 diabetes, reflecting hypoglycemia-induced tremors through movement, with shaking represented through creases moulded into leather. Tickets costing £13.70 to the West Yorkshire Fashion Week documentary showing are available on Eventbrite.
