Bridgerton's Castle Howard in Yorkshire would cost this much to power for just one month, according to Uswitch

The grand total is £15,817.

And, that's just to power York's 140,000 square foot Castle Howard without thinking about upkeep or mortgage payments.

The castle and Coneysthorpe, a North Yorkshire village, feature in the Georgian-themed Netflix series as Clyvedon Castle and village, the Duke of Hastings' family estate.

Sally Joynson, chief executive at Screen Yorkshire, whose film office helped with the production, previously said: ‘’The global success of Bridgerton demonstrates Yorkshire’s robust credentials as a world leading destination for filming and Castle Howard looks magnificent on screen in the drama, where it features as the location for Simon Basset’s estate.

“Our wealth of stately homes and heritage locations make the region a huge draw for period productions.

“Bridgerton is the latest in a series of worldwide hits that we have hosted here in recent years, including Victoria, Downton Abbey, The English Game and Gentleman Jack.’’

Uswitch's research also revealed the monthly power prices of other Bridgerton-esque properties.

Blenheim Palace would cost £163,687 for a month of power; Buckingham Palace £93,570; Windsor Castle £66,640; Wentworth Woodhouse £14,080; Highclere Castle £11,302; Hampton Court Palace £5,357; Holburne Museum of Art £2,324.

Netflix has teased the show's return on Twitter by telling viewers to "prepare for another social season" in reference to the regency era marriage circuit the show portrays, adding that it "shall be back", but did not give a release date.

Earlier this month Netflix projected that the show would be seen by more than 63 million households in its first four weeks, and Variety reported that it held the number one slot in 76 countries on the streaming service’s top 10 list.
