Nearby resident Sophie Wasik captured the moment a firework, which she believes to be the item in question, was let off in a field nearby.
Sophie said: "Guessing this is the actual disposal taking place on the field.
"The bomb disposal and van were by the side of the field."
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed the device had been made safe and evacuated residents have now been let back into their homes.
