The latest headlines from Leeds United as the Whites continue their push for an immediate return to the Premier League.

Leeds United boosted their hopes of returning to the Premier League at the first attempt when they produced a stunning turnaround at Norwich City on Saturday.

After trailing by two goals when the half-time whistle was blown at Carrow Road, Daniel Farke’s side blasted their way back into the contest during the second-half as a Shane Duffy own goal and a Crysencio Summerville brace helped the Whites boss to a dramatic win against his former club.

The result left the Farke’s men in third place in the Championship table, six points behind second placed Ipswich Town and a further five points adrift of leaders Leicester City. All eyes now turn towards Wednesday night’s trip to Stoke City as the Whites look to claim a fourth consecutive win and strengthen their claim to a play-off spot.

With 48 hours to go until kick-off against the Potters, we look at the latest headlines at Elland Road.

Victor Orta opens up on ‘abuse’ at Elland Road

Former Leeds United director of football Victor Orta has reflected on a disagreement he had with a Whites supporter during a Premier League fixture against Brentford two years ago.

The Spaniard’s angry confrontation with a fan was captured by live television cameras as Orta gestured angrily over criticism he had received during the fixture.

Speaking to the i from his new post as sporting director at LaLiga side Sevilla, Orta said: “You hear a person abuse you for 30 minutes without stop and his last words were: ‘If you don’t bring any players in the winter market, be careful with your son.’

“I agree it was a bad example but I’d like to know how many people could be cool after a level of abuse like that.”

Koch is currently spending a season-long loan spell with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt and has impressed during the opening months of the campaign. But the eight-times capped Germany international took time to reflect on his time at Elland Road and showered his former manager with wholesome praise during a recent interview.

“It was a very nice, challenging and instructive time,” he told Kicker regarding his Leeds spell.

“In Marcelo Bielsa, I had a special coach at times. I’ve never seen a coach who works in such detail. I don’t know how many games he watches a week. It feels like all of them. He knows pretty much everything about football, which is unbelievable. We always knew exactly what to expect because he analysed everything. (He’s) a world-class coach like Pep Guardiola.”
