Maisonettes on Throstle Road, on the Middleton housing estate. A number 43 is beside the door on the left-hand side. The central block houses numbers 45, 47, 49 and 51. There is still some building rubble among the newly-established vegetable plots, but flowers are in bloom in the foreground. Sites for building estates had been acquired by Leeds Council in 1918/1919, of which Middleton was one.
