16 legendary photos take you back to Little London in the 1950s

These wonderful photos showcase the beating heart of a Leeds suburb in the 1950s.

Little London was named as it was a fashionable postcode with intricate architecture and expensive mahogany used in houses - comparable with parts of the capital. These photos showcase local landmarks such as the Victory Cinema and much loved pubs - during the decade. They also focus on familiar streets such as Camp Road and highlight the changing face of the suburb during the decade.. The images are a mix from West Yorkshire Archive Service and others published courtesy of photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service.
