The clip, which can be viewed above, will take many readers back to their days of playing the likes of Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Tekken on their consoles in the 90s and 2000s.
The video sees two staff members at the Royal Armouries – the UK’s National Museum of Arms and Armour – choosing their weapons before settling on a scythe each and then going to battle with one another.

The Royal Armouries posted the video on its social media pages, writing: “Head down to the museum this half-term for nine days of rebellion, revolt, and revolution as we re-tell the tales of history's most famous uprisings...
“...INCLUDING this medieval peasant combat using agricultural scythes.”
The video was posted to promote the free Rebels and Revolutionaries event, which lasts from this Saturday (October 22) until Sunday, October 30.

“Bring along your rebels to join the revolution and discover this area of homemade history.”
