1. Aire and locks after lockdown: The waterways of Leeds July 5 at 11am
Explore the ways that the River Aire has flowed through the history of the city and find out about the making of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and how it influenced the local economy.
2. Light on Leeds podcast
A podcast all about the fantastic things happening in the city. Each episode features a track by a Leeds-based musician or band. New episodes each Sunday and Wednesday broadcast 1pm - 3pm.
3. Grasshopper Tendencies at Sunny Bank Mills
A new exhibition of work by local artist and Sunny Bank Mills studio holder Mel Davies. Mels statement oil paintings tell stories and explore themes such as myth, folklore and local history.
4. Black Health Initiative Fundraiser July 4 at 10am
Bringing together some of the finest musicians from the citys diverse music scene for a recording on the 4th of July, culminating in an album to raise funds and spread awareness for Black Lives Matter and the Black Health Initiative.
5. Leeds Summer Group Show
An online exhibition created to support artists, provide a platform to showcase art, sell work, and recognise an artist or collective by awarding a 500 prize. From 395 submissions the selection panel chose 38 for the exhibition.
6. Spanish cookery lessons with Instituto Cervantes Leeds, July 3 at 5pm
Learn how to prepare Spanish dishes, and meet people through this interactive online cooking workshops.
