1968
Leeds’ away derby against Hunslet was switched to Headingley because the Parkside pitch was frozen.
Syd Hynes scored a hat-trick in Leeds’ 35-10 win. Phil Holmes and Bill Ramsey both bagged a brace and Alan Smith and John Langley also crossed, with John Holmes landing four goals.

Hide AdRobin Dewhurst – who went on to coach Leeds two decades later – scored their only points with a goal in a 24-2 drubbing by Wakefield Trinity at Belle Vue.
Leeds had lost 32-8 at Headingley two days earlier.
1959
Leeds had a miserable Christmas 61 years ago, losing at Batley on Christmas Day, home to Wakefield the following afternoon and 27-7 at Huddersfield on December 28, when Wilf Rosenberg scored their try and Vince Hattee booted two goals.
1954
A six-match winning run came to a halt when Leeds drew 9-9 at home to Rochdale Hornets.
Drew Turnbull was Leeds’ try scorer and Lewis Jones kicked three goals.
1931
Leeds’ record try scorer Eric Harris touched down 41 times in 1931-32, including against Wigan at Headingley on December 28.
Stan Smith and Jimmy Douglas also crossed in a 9-5 success.
