Diskin's delight as Batley turn tables
Bulldogs claimed a place in today’s fifth round draw with a 34-16 success on a ground where they were crushed 44-6 in their opening Kingstone Press Championship fixture last month.
Toulouse coach Sylvain Houles fielded a below-strength side, but Batley were also without key players – including half-back Dominic Brambani – and Diskin said: “We have got a good squad and so have they.

Diskin felt Bulldogs learned lessons from their league defeat. He added: “We reviewed it and looked at where we could improve.
“We didn’t handle the occasion and we get embarrassed a bit.
“Ever since the draw was made the boys have been looking forward to going back over there and trying to prove a point.
“We have made such an inconsistent start we knew we needed to improve and we made a really positive step towards that.”
