Even now, with a 10-point lead over the play-off places, fans would not be mistaken for at least have a glance over their shoulder. After all, it is Leeds United we are talking about. Admittedly, the Whites could not be in a better position but we've taken a look at the teams in and around Marcelo Bielsa's side in the league table and their upcoming fixtures to see who might mount a threat to the automatic promotion picture. We'll let you decide who is the one to watch out for...
1. West Bromwich Albion - 49 points
Slaven Bilics men host the ever-tricky Brentford on Saturday. Fixtures against relegation-threatened Barnsley and Middlesbrough follow before the mouth-watering top of the table clash with Leeds United at the Hawthorns.
2. Leeds United - 47 points
The Whites can open up a 15-point over Fulham should they win at the Cottage on Saturday before the Boxing Day encounter with Preston that arguably brings greater importance. They then travel to Birmingham before facing West Brom.
3. Preston North End - 37 points
Alex Neils side face two difficult away trips to Cardiff City and Leeds United. On paper, they then have two winnable home games against Reading and Middlesbrough, who are lingering around the bottom places.
4. Brentford - 36 points
Being away to West Brom is a tough task but not a fixture The Bees will fear. After that, Thomas Franks side then face Swansea, Millwall and Bristol City - a trio of teams who are proving a little unpredictable at the moment.
5. Sheffield Wednesday - 36 points
The Owls are unbeaten in their last five and host Bristol City on Sunday. On Boxing Day it is a trip to Stoke City before rounding off 2019 with home ties against Cardiff City and Hull City. Thats a lot of Cities!
6. Fulham - 35 points
Manager Scott Parker will not be looking past Saturdays game with Leeds given the significance it provides i.e. points wise. Lose that then games against Luton, Stoke and Reading might not have the same edge.
