Leeds United fans don’t need reminding that it has been a long time since the team competed in the Premier League. This campaign is the 16th outside the top flight.
Next season, however, could of course be very different. The Whites could be back in the big time. They will encounter a different place to the one they left. One similarity will be the big wages on offer. Leeds were big spenders before they dropped into the second tier. If they are to be competing in the league next campaign, they will likely be overshadowed by many when it comes to wages.
