Former striker Sutton watched on as Bamford struck his 15th goal of the season either side of strikes from Stuart Dallas and Rodrigo to give Leeds a 3-1 victory in Saturday's Premier League clash at Elland Road.

Sixth-placed Spurs were seeking a third consecutive league win in their quest to seal a Champions League spot under interim boss Ryan Mason but Sutton felt Tottenham were deservedly beaten by Marcelo Bielsa's Whites.

The victory sent Leeds above Aston Villa and Arsenal into ninth and left Sutton questioning Tottenham's decision to sack Jose Mourinho last month.

"What a woeful season and it begs the question were they right to sack Mourinho when they did?" said Sutton on BT Sport.

"With the greatest respect, Ryan Mason looks out of his depth.

"Leeds, their season just rolls on, they have jumped above Arsenal now and it was a really slick performance.

"Patrick Bamford what an incredible season, an amazing season.

"He leads the line incredibly well and scores goals and there's a bit of 'R and R' at the end there with Raphinha and Rodrigo linking up well and a devastating finish.

"They deserved the victory.

"There's massive issues at Spurs, it' a big summer for them."
