Leeds United: Cook named in England squad for Euro U-19 Championship warm up games
The Leeds United midfielder, who was heavily involved in the Under-19s’ successful qualifying campaign, has been named in a 24-man group chosen by coach Aidy Boothroyd for back to back meetings with Mexico on June 4 and 6.
The fixtures will complete the youngsters’ preparations for the European finals in Germany, which start on July 11.

The competition runs to July 24, potentially ruling Cook out of much of Leeds’ pre-season schedule. The new Championship term is due to kick off on August 6.
Cook - the reigning Football League young player of the year - has already enjoyed international success after helping England win the European Under-17 Championship two years ago.
Speaking about the Under-19 finals last month, Cook said: “It’ll be a great tournament and hopefully the same can happen and we win it again.”
