Adel resident captures first snowfall of 2020 as cold snap set to continue

Leedsplace admin Paula Anne Brown posted the footage of the snow flurry in Adel on Tuesday morning.
The snow eased off by lunchtime but sleet returned in the late afternoon as temperatures plunged.

Hide AdMotorists on the M62 also faced delays throughout the morning as snow made driving conditions hazardous.
The Met Office predicts icy patches will develop by Wednesday morning, with temperatures dropping to 0C.
On Wednesday, it will stay windy, with any lingering showers fading during the morning, with a chance of sunny spells.
Cloud will then thicken during the afternoon with periods of rain, especially across in hilly areas
The maximum temperature will be 9C.

Hide AdThe outlook for Thursday is as follows, according to the Met Office: "Breezy Thursday, with brighter spells possible in the east, and drizzle across western hills. Very mild. Rain spreading east early Friday, clearing to sunshine and showers.
"Mainly dry on Saturday."
