Two Leeds Labour councillors resign from city council
and live on Freeview channel 276
Angela Wenham and Eleanor Tunnicliffe – both councillors for the Roundhay ward on Leeds City Council – are no longer listed as sitting councillors on the council’s website.
In a statement released this evening, Coun James Lewis, leader of Leeds City Council, said: “I would like to thank both Eleanor and Angela for their work representing the people of Roundhay on Leeds City Council.

Hide Ad“They were valued members of the Leeds Labour Group and their contribution to the work of the council will be missed. I wish them well for the future.”
It is understood replacement councillors for both Eleanor Tunnicliffe and Angela Wenham will be elected at the local elections on Thursday, May 6.
Eleanor Tunnicliffe was elected to Leeds City Council in May 2016, and held onto her seat in the 2018 local elections, taking 44 percent of the vote.
Angela Wenham was first elected in the local elections of 2018.
