Often there is a narrative around women being primary carers and perhaps then, in turn, overlooked for promotions.
Organisations need to move on from this.
Today women do not want to raise a family and see their career plateau.
Instead we are surrounded by incredibly ambitious women in our city who care about their careers and aspire for greatness.
After all Leeds has become the country’s first Women-Friendly City.
So let’s start in the workplace and put those outdated attitudes in the bin where they belong.
