Leeds primary celebrating after top praise from Ofsted
Ofsted has now rated Seven Hills Primary School in Morley as “good” in all areas of a new report.
Inspectors visited the school, in Appelby Way, and praised leaders for having a “dynamic vision” for pupils.

Hide AdThe report said: “The headteacher and deputy headteacher have a strong, dynamic vision for the school based on mutual respect and individualised provision for all pupils.
“This informs all working aspects of the life of the school and is shared by all staff and governors.”
There was also top praise for the quality of teaching at the school.
The report said: “Teachers, ably supported by teaching assistants, provide skilled support to a range of learners.

Hide Ad“They have the skills and subject knowledge needed to support pupils’ learning effectively.”
Headteacher Richard Catherall said the latest report on the inspection, which took place last month, showed off its “academic strength”.
He said: “I am extremely proud of our staff, parents and children as they worked together brilliantly to show off the school in its very best light.
“Throughout the inspection we demonstrated the academic strength of the school.

Hide Ad“We also showed many of our wonderful Christmas events which highlighted the diversity and range of our curriculum, as well as our whole school community strength.”
To improve the school further, inspectors have suggested leaders focus on building on the pupils’ skills in phonics to raise writing standards.
