Leeds '˜crowdsourced cinema' to screen fan favourites
Moviegoers in the city now have the opportunity to organise ‘crowdsourced screenings’, with a range of more than 400 films on offer.
The movie selection ranges from recent hits like Nightcrawler and Amy to foreign language films including Jules et Jim and classics such as Raging Bull and Chinatown.

Customers can take part in the film screenings either with their friends, family, societies and clubs, or like-minded members of the public. The new concept is now available at the Vue cinema, based at The Light shopping centre on The Headrow.
The concept proved a success in a trial launch in 2014, where seven cinemas offered a screening of indie-horror film The Borderlands.
It was shortly followed by the world’s first ‘people-powered premiere’ for football documentary Next Goal Wins.
Vue has teamed up with Ourscreen for the concept, which has organised 400 screenings since its launch.
