Durex are urgently recalling these condoms over fears they may 'burst during sex'
The company have found some batches of their condoms currently on the market do not pass their required safety standards.
This means there is a risk that the condom might tear or leak reducing its protection from sexually-transmitted diseases and pregnancy.

Hide AdCustomers have now been advised to check if they have any of the affected batches/
They can do this by looking at the batch number on the bottom of the pack and on the foil wrapping of individual condoms.
John Wilkinson, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency’s (MHRA) Director of Medical Devices said:"It’s important that you check the batch numbers to see if you have a product from an affected batch.
"If you have, stop using them as there is a risk that they will tear or leak.

"Patient safety is our highest priority. We strongly encourage anyone to report any issues with this product, or more generally with any medical device, to our Yellow Card Scheme."
Durex has said the safety of its customers always came first.
A spokesperson said: "This is reflected in our rigorous quality standards. We recently found that a limited number of the above condoms made earlier this year are not passing our stringent shelf-life durability tests.

Hide Ad"Our tests have shown that some batches which are currently on the market in UK & Ireland do not pass the requirements for burst pressure towards the end of the shelf life for the product.
"The expiry date of the affected batches is between Dec. 2020 and Feb. 2021.
"Only for the batches of condoms affected by this issue, there could be an increase in the number of condoms that burst during application or use."
"Always read the label which states “Should a condom leak or burst during use, seek doctor or pharmacist assistance as soon as possible, at least within 72 hrs."
