Police search Leeds park and find stashed weapons including knives
Officers from Operation Jemlock and Leeds East Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out the search of Banstead Park in Harehills on Thursday.
They searched shrubbery and crevices in buildings and found a number of weapons stashed away.

Hide AdThe Operation Jemlock team shared pictures on Twitter of the items recovered in the search, which included knives and other sharp weapons.
The tweet said: "Operation Jemlock taking steps today to reduce knife crime in Leeds, conducting a weapons sweep at Banstead Park in Harehills alongside officers from West Yorkshire Police Leeds East.
"A number of weapons were found stashed away and recovered by officers. #TacklingNotTolerating #LivesNotKnives"
Operation Jemlock is a West Yorkshire Police crackdown on serious violent crime and knife crime.
There have been more than 1,300 arrests and 100 weapons seized as part of the operation, which begun in April 2019.
