Leeds pensioner jailed for sex abuse of girls
Melvyn Jackson, 71, was handed the lengthy sentence after a court heard he continued to commit offence despite being arrested and released on bail.
Leeds Crown Court heard Jackson’s victim’s were aged between seven and nine.
The offences took place over a four month period last year.

Hide AdThe court Jackson, on Westwinn View, Whinmoor, Leeds, has been left severely traumatised by her ordeal.
Jackson was first arrested in July last year after a seven year old victim told her mother that Jackson had abused her and police were informed.
The pensioner denied all allegations and was allowed bail until the matter was fully investigated.
The court heard Jackson the preyed on a nine year old girl.
The mother of a third victim then came forward after hearing about him being arrested for a second.
Jackson pleaded guilty to carrying out six sexual offences.

Hide AdGlen Parsons, mitigating, said Jackson had lead a heard working law abiding life up until committing the offence.
He said the widower had carried out the offences as he felt “socially isolated” following the death of his wife.
Mr Parsons said his client accepted that he was facing a long custodial term and he may die in prison.
Jailing Jackson, judge Tom Bayliss, QC, said: “You have ruined your life.”
