The 24-year-old was arrested in Rodley and also questioned over drug driving and drug supply offences, which are both still under investigation.
Rates of knife crime in Leeds have soared year-on-year in recent years.
Operation Jemlock officers revealed earlier this month how a sweep search of a park in Harehills upturned several bladed weapons in bushes near to a children's play area.
Since the Operation began in April this year, there have been more than 1,300 arrests and 100 weapons seized.
