Bramham police incident: Residents describe shock as bleeding victim knocks for help after suspected stabbing

It happened at about 1.30am on Sunday in Lyndon Road, Bramham.
Residents heard an altercation before the victim, who was believed to have multiple stab wounds, was found slumped in a doorway.

Hide AdOne eyewitness who lives on Lyndon Road said he was woken up at 1.50am to someone ‘hammering on the door’.
He said: “I heard a slump on the door and the victim said he’d been stabbed and needed help.
“I quickly got dressed and went to the garage and the police were already there.
“I gave them a belt and towels, then the ambulance turned up and took over.

Hide Ad“He had a bad stab wound in the back of his leg, a gash in the arm and they were concerned that he had head injuries.”
The witness, 69, said he does not believe the victim lives in the Bramham area.
He described the estate as "very sleepy" and said it was rare to witness any serious incidents.
West Yorkshire Police were contacted but declined to provide any further information on the incident.
