How a Leeds vicar and his family helped a couple's wedding day wish come true
It was a wedding day wish which a Leeds vicar was determined to make come true.
When Carol Wright and Robert Harkins-McLaughlin tied the knot at St Mark's Church in Woodhouse in July 1975 they requested a choral wedding.
But when it emerged the several choir members would be unavailable Reverend Robert Simpson came to the rescue.
He provided an instant singing squad - from his own family.

The choir was further bolstered thanks to his sister Mary Close and cousin Nellie Larman, who had travelled from Hull for the day.
