Hospital chief speaks out on death of four coronavirus patients in Leeds

Four men, who had tested positive for COVID-19, have died - it was confirmed yesterday.
The men were aged between 45 and 90 years old and all had underlying health conditions.

Dr Yvette Oade, Chief Medical Officer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust said yesterday: “We can confirm that, sadly, four patients, who had tested positive for COVID-19, have died.
"The patients, who were all male ranged between 45 years old and 90 years old. They all had underlying health conditions.
"Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.

It brings the coronavirus death toll in Leeds up to five, after a woman in her 80s was confirmed to have died on Monday.
