New fund to celebrate university's 50th year will make a '˜real difference' to students
The three strands of the fund reflect the university’s vision to develop socially impactful and highly employable graduates through teaching excellence.
It was launched by Chancellor Gabby Logan, who said: “Students are at the heart of everything we do at Leeds Trinity, and I am honoured to officially launch a programme which offers further support to students during their time at University. In our 50th year, we not only want to celebrate our heritage and transformation since 1966, but look ahead to the next 50 years and how we can support our current students in their plans for their future.”

Hide AdVice-Chancellor Professor Margaret A House said the new fund would make a “real difference” to students who want to engage with activities outside of their course but for whom finance is “a major hurdle”.
Leeds Trinity was established as two teacher training colleges in 1966. Over the 2016-2017 academic year, it will host a number of events including alumni celebrations and guest lectures.
