Up to six people from separate households, or two households of any size, will be able to meet up for a cold pint or cocktail in the sunshine (we hope). Thankfully, Leeds is full of sun-drenched rooftop bars and terraces with stunning views over the city. Here we've rounded up some of the best in Leeds:
1. Headrow House
Headrow House has one of the biggest outdoor terraces in Leeds, set over two floors. It offers stunning views over the rooftops of the city. Tables are allocated on a first-come, first served basis.
2. Issho
Issho - meaning ‘come together’ in Japanese - has a gorgeous outdoor terrace above Leeds Victoria Gate. Enjoy the bar's signature cocktails or a bite to eat from the Japanese-inspired menu. Bookings are now open.
3. Angelica
After a busy day shopping in Trinity Leeds, enjoy lunch, dinner or drinks in the sky at Angelica's wraparound rooftop bar. The terrace offers panoramic views across the city and is the perfect place to watch the sunset.
4. The Woods
The Woods in Chapel Allerton boasts ample outdoor seating and a rooftop terrace, which will make it a hit with locals when it reopens on Monday. There is outside cover with heating for up to 120 people.
5. Belgrave
Belgrave has one of the best rooftop terraces in the city, complete with an outdoor bar and partial shelter. Patty Smith’s burgers and Dough Boys pizza will return. Spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis.
6. East 59th
Enjoy a spot of al fresco drinks and dining on the rooftop terrace at New York-style bar East 59th, above Victoria Gate.
