Leeds May 26, 1950: Mrs D Johnstone and Miss B Wormald, clerks employed at the showrooms of Appleyard of Leeds, Ltd, are here seen burning 20,000 gallons of petrol (on paper) at the showrooms.

They were coupons and correspondence associated with petrol rationing.
