As the sands of time begin to run out for 2015 we look at how Leeds has kept the clock ticking while the decades have slipped by.
The Leeds Town Hall clock has told the time in the city centre since the switchgear was made in 1859 and in 1971 it was pictured with Mr. Bragg.
In 1993 abseiling Simon Young used the clock face to highlight youth activity and in 1984 Cllr. Gregory Moakes unveiled an entirely new timepiece at Kirkgate Market to celebrate 100 years of Marks & Spencer.
The famous Oakwood clock tower was reset by Mr. Fred Horsman in 1969 after restoration and clocks of a different kind were manufactured by the Simplex Time Recorder co. back in 1976.
