This week’s nostalgia picture...

Kanareborough. September 23, 1974: an end-of-the-season drink for Silver, a donkey which was giving children rides on the bank of the River Nidd during the summer. Silver was owned by David Allott, who passed The George Hotel each day on the way home from work. He said: “We wondered if a drink would buck Silver up one day.”
