New afternoon tea restaurant in Leeds sets launch date

Have your say

A stylish new afternoon tea venue is set to open its doors in just two weeks.

After much anticipation, Creams will open to the public on Saturday, May 16.

The exciting new venue has snapped up a prime spot at The Core shopping centre, just off The Headrow.

It will sell tasty treats from macaroons and cake pops to breakfasts and main meals.

The Core is currently undergoing a £2.4million facelift at the moment to help boost it from a forgotten site into something more modern and vibrant.

The people behind Creams, which also has a site in Huddersfield, have said they are eager to see how The Core could soon take off. And they’re so confident in its success that they’ve certainly not scrimped on pimping out the new unit.

The glitzy new site has four chandeliers and will feature live music from classical pianists.

If May 16 is too long to wait, Creams has set up a ‘royal carriage’ selling cakes and coffee inside the shopping centre to offer a taste of what’s to come. After the stint at the shopping centre it will move to Lands Lane.

We’ll get a sneak peek around Creams before it opens, so keep your eyes peeled on City Buzz.
