STARS of hit television show Educating Yorkshire took to the cricket field to raise some charity cash.

Jonny Mitchell, head teacher at Thornhill Community Academy in Dewsbury, captained a team of teachers in a match at Ackworth Cricket Club in Pontefract on Sunday, June 29, to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Paul Marley, 59, and his wife Sue, 57, organised the event in memory of their daughter Becci, who suffered from cystic fibrosis but lost her battle with the illness at the age of 27 in 2009.

Paul and Sue’s friend John Atha also helped organise the event.
