RUGBY star Jamie Jones-Buchanan tackled a charity event in west Leeds.

The Leeds Rhinos legend spoke to hoards of fans who queued up to catch a glimpse of him as he opened the new Bramley Elderly Action shop on Friday, November 2.

Jeannie Madden, community shop manager, said: “It’s great to see people queuing to get in the shop and fantastic for Jamie to come and cut the ribbon.

“We’ve been stockpiling great winter bargains and we look forward to meeting customers new and old.”

The new upBEAt community shop on Stanningley Road sells second hand goods such as clothes, shoes, accessories, CDs, DVDs, books, bric-a –brac and toys.
