Just because the kids are back at school doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Here are a few suggestions for family-friendly activities:
*If the Little Princess and Bananas in Pyjamas are your regular morning companions, little fans will be all shaken up at the prospect of seeing them at the Milkshake! Live ‘Party Party’, at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, on March 8. Tickets £13.50 to £14.60. www.calderdale.gov.uk/victoria/details.jsp?event=4269.
*Mini movers will get the chance to watch and take part in performances inspired by the Northern Ballet’s recent production of the Elves and the Shoemaker. Northern Ballet and other local dance groups will be showcasing their skills at Trinity Leeds on March 28, as well as running workshops for youngsters. There will be craft activities and story-telling plus a ticketed premiere of CBeebies Elves and the Shoemaker at the Everyman cinema. www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours/events/elves_ballet_28mar15.
*Turn a grey day into a play day with these activities from Eureka! The National Children’s Museum. Grab your coat and hat and try a wiggly worm hunt or see who can count the most slugs. And Peppa Pig isn’t the only one who enjoys jumping in muddy puddles. With wellies on it’s good fun and a great way to get children active despite bad weather.
