Whinmoor police incident: Three women arrested after woman is assaulted in Sherburn Road North

Police were called to reports of a woman being assaulted in Sherburn Road North in the Whinmoor area of Leeds just before midnight on May 27.

Officers arrested three women at the scene.

The victim was not seriously injured during the incident.

A cordon was put in place and was still there at around 5am this morning (Friday), according to local residents on social media.

At approximately 7am, another passer-by said the scene had been cleared.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to reports of a woman being assaulted on Sherburn Road North at just before midnight on Thursday 27 May.

"Officers attended and arrested three women.

"The victim was not seriously injured during the incident."
