Yorkshire Day: Leeds Festival celebrates with tasty 'homecoming' for new look Yorkshire pudding

The delicacy, a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings wrapped in a Yorkshire pudding, has gone down a storm in London and will now go on sale at this year's festival, August 24 to 26.

York-born Henry Preen has made a name for himself with his highly successful Yorkshire Burrito street food by taking the majestic Yorkshire pudding to giddy heights and gaining rave reviews for his simple but genius culinary creation.

To mark its forthcoming debut at Leeds Festival, Saturday night headliners Fall Out Boy and The Wombats have taken part in a Yorkshire Burrito Challenge - to wrap as many Yorkshire Burritos as they can in a minute.

Main stage headliners include Kings Of Leon, Courteeners, The Vaccines (Friday, Aug 24), Fall Out Boy, Travis Scott, The Kooks, The Wombats and Post Malone (Sat, Aug 25) and Kendrick Lamar, Panic! At The Disco and Dua Lipa...likes of Kate Nash headlining Festival Republic stage (Sun, Aug 26).

Maker Henry hopes his delicacy will sit well with music fans as he eyes up a possible move to bring the delicacy to Leeds on a more permanent basis.

Proud to be trading at Leeds Festival he added: “I am a huge fan of Leeds Festival and can’t wait to feed Yorkshire pudding burritos to the crowds.

"It’s our first event that we have done back in Yorkshire since we started so we are absolutely buzzing to bring the puds home! We might even have a couple of surprises on the menu."

A festival spokesman added: "There's no better day to announce these plans than today, Yorkshire Day.

"A traditional northern Sunday roast with all the trimmings, all wrapped up to be enjoyed on the move, Yorkshire Burrito is perfect for a festival crowd."
