Have your say

TV bosses are set to win top marks from viewers by making a return to West Yorkshire’s most famous school.

Educating Yorkshire: One Year On is a special hour-long look at how the pupils and teachers at Dewsbury’s Thornhill Community Academy have been faring since they were catapulted into the small screen spotlight.

Youngsters from the original Educating Yorkshire fly-on-the-wall documentary series who feature in the one-off programme include Musharaf Asghar.

Musharaf, who captured hearts across the nation with his fight to overcome his stammer, is shown following his dream of becoming a teacher.

Thornhill head Jonny Mitchell and his staff members Matthew Burton and Michael Steer also give their thoughts as they prepare for the end of the school year. Educating Yorkshire was named best documentary programme at this year’s National Television Awards. The catch-up show goes out on Channel 4 at 9pm next Thursday, August 21.
