Talented Leeds acrobat Billy George is set to put TV viewers in a spin with his gravity-defying Cyr Wheel performance.
The athletic 23-year-old, who attended Intake High School in Bramley, is one of the mentors on new ITV show Get Your Act Together.
And on Sunday night he will take to the stage alongside his celebrity protege, The Only Way is Essex star Elliott Wright, to showcase the jaw-dropping skills he has instilled in him.
Billy, who is one of the UK’s best Cyr Wheel performers and has performed for star-studded audiences including the Beckhams, said Elliott had impressed him with the level of difficulty he had achieved.
“It was very, very good for someone who has never even touched a piece of circus equipment before and never done a live performance before.”
Despite putting his partner through six weeks of punishing training sessions, leaving the reality TV star “battered and bruised”, the pair have become firm friends.
Elliott said: “I have made a really great mate. We’ve had a real laugh.”
And if they manage to reach the final, Billy has ambitious plans for them both.
Elliott said: “We will perform a trick that only three people in the UK can do. It has never been seen on telly before.”
The show, hosted by Stephen Mulhern, pairs celebrities with some of the world’s most talented variety acts.
Last week Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden and Natalie Anderson revealed their new costume transformation skillls in Keelan Leyser’s Quick Change Act.
This weekend, former Steps star Claire Richards will attempt fire-eating; TV personality Nancy Dell’Olio will turn illusionist and Ann Widdecombe will perform alongside some tiny feathered friends.
