The New Conservatory has a long and distinguished history as one of Leeds’ oldest and abiding favourite bars. They are open from noon until late every day and the kitchen serves food until 9pm Monday to Saturday and until 6pm on Sundays. Fine them right in the heart of Leeds city centre on Albion Street, opposite Toni and Guy, not far from the Trinity Shopping Centre. Situated in Albion Place, The New Conservatory is a basement hideout for the city’s suited and booted ladies and gents during the day and a strange hybrid of diverse music and weathered decadence at night. It has been a prestigious meeting place of the city’s business people since the 1850s, this collection of elaborate wooden furniture, red buttoned leather sofas and mock library is a full-blooded homage to the area’s past.
