Flight Club Leeds: Opening weekend for social darts, brunch and DJ hub
A new social experience is opening in Leeds this weekend and it involves darts, brunching, eating, drinking and DJs.
Flight Club has made its way to Leeds and is situated across two floors in an old Bank of England building on the corner of Park Row.
It’s the latest of its venues to open following successes across the way in Manchester, Birmingham and London.
With a maximum capacity of around 350 people, visitors to Flight Club will be given their own exclusive space while also being able to be part of the wider action in the bar.
According to co-founder Stephen Paul Moore, the venue is a “social entertainment realm”.
He told the YEP: “We got the site around two and a half years ago and had finished it maybe one and a half years ago but honestly you’d think we saw the pandemic coming.
“There are semi-private spaces that can house anything from around six to 18 people so guests will have their own seating in their own little space but will still be part of the action.
“Even before Covid, people liked to have their own space but didn’t want to be in a room by themselves and that’s exactly what this is.
“You get those moments with friends among the high energy of the bar as well.”
Mr Moore said that the interest for the Leeds venue was already going really well and that it is aimed at a diverse demographic.
He added that the “cutting edge” technology balanced with the “most insane” interior design makes the place one to be sought-after.
Mr Moore said: “Leeds is so compact, stunning, has such a sense of community for a city and has everything there in the centre.
“There’s good culture, cool bars and restaurants, I genuinely love Leeds and I hope the site will become important to that part of town.
“It does anchor on social darts but on the side there are brunches, cocktails, lunches, late nights and DJs so it’s a well balanced experience and there’s something for everyone.
He added: “The site will stand out in a good way and I’d say the Flight Club experience in Leeds is going to be a bit spicy.”
