Luckily, Leeds has plenty of fun options on offer, especially if the good old British weather continues.

Planet Ice rink has finally opened to the public and offers kids the chance to get their skates on this February half term.

Public skating is available, alongside individual lessons or a six-week course.

Prices vary.

On Sunday 16 February, City Varieties will screen The Greatest Showman, where a live host will encourage a sing-a-long, showing children special dance moves and getting the crowd up on their feet.

The website says: “Fancy dress is strongly encouraged and full audience participation is essential.”

If you want to escape the rain and enjoy a family craft activity together, then this could be the perfect event.

Make your own textured slime at Hobby Craft, Crown Point, choosing from a range of colours and textures.

Workshops will run on Monday 17, Tuesday 18, Thursday 20, Friday 21 and Sunday 23 February.
