A Wetherby actress is set to star in one of the most famous romantic tragedies ever written in its original setting.
Graduate Kat Ronson, who first started acting at the Northern Film and Drama in Wetherby, has been cast as Juliet for a special performance in Verona this summer.
Visitors to the Italian town will be able to see, for the first time, an abridged production of Romeo and Juliet at the home of Juliet’s courtyard, balcony and statue. The Kings Theatre Portsmouth and Teatro Stabile Verona are joining forces for the production which starts later this week. It will be performed in English between July 29 and August 17.
